The streaming platform Ivi has announced the commencement of filming for “Pirogovka,” a new medical melodrama produced by the Andreasyan Brothers Film Company.
The narrative is set within the prestigious N.I. Pirogov Hospital, led by the esteemed physician Pyotr Andreyevich. His daughter, Kira, is a dedicated surgeon whose life revolves entirely around her demanding career. Void of close friends or a family of her own, her only romantic connection is a complicated affair with Ignat, a married colleague who remains hesitant to leave his wife. Everything changes with the arrival of Egor, a new doctor who manages to look past Kira’s stern professionalism to see the woman beneath. However, as their bond develops, Kira must face a difficult question: are Egor’s intentions genuine, and can she finally allow herself to trust someone?
The ensemble cast features Irina Tumantseva, Ivan Batarev, Stas Rumyantsev, Alisa Kot, and Andrey Smirnov. The series is directed by Goga Mamdzhanyan, known for “An Interesting Situation.” An official premiere date has yet to be disclosed.
