Transformers star Shia LaBeouf was reportedly involved in a violent scuffle at a New Orleans establishment, according to various media outlets.
The incident occurred late Tuesday night, February 17. Witnesses claim LaBeouf repeatedly struck a patron at the R Bar. After security personnel attempted to escort him from the premises, the actor allegedly forced his way back inside with increased aggression, reportedly breaking another man’s nose before being restrained by bystanders until law enforcement arrived.
Footage of the melee was shared by TMZ. Although police took LaBeouf into custody, he was released shortly thereafter, with a court hearing currently scheduled for March 19.
In a recent interview, LaBeouf maintained that he had overcome his struggles with alcoholism and had ceased his past abusive behavior. His latest cinematic project is the film Henry Johnson.
