Screenshot Saturday Sundays! The solar is shining, the breeze is gentle, and we’re all locked indoors, so why not relax and flip via some pretty videogame photographs with me? This week: Vertigo-inducing campsites, architectural fantasies, the cult of kickflips and a few pants-free gymnastics.
Alright, let’s get one thing outta the best way earlier than we begin. Yes, this lad’s received nae garments on. But extra importantly, take a look at that higher physique power, holding on one-handed even whereas slapped.

Aussie developer Sam Ferguson’s promoting some pleasant pastel absurdity right here, in what appears to be a first-person follow-up to the incredibly-named Ascent Of Grob’s Domain. From what he’s proven to this point, we’ve received a gunky intestinal exploration game the place you slap mucus outta a large’s intestines, chat up worms, and, sure, shoot the breeze with nudist tree-swingers. Love it.
Did you carry your tenting gear? Actually, did you carry a rope? Because Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer’s Legacy‘s chosen a reasonably, uh, precarious spot to arrange for the evening.
Extreme tenting in #Unexplored2 as a result of I believe it’s nonetheless #screenshotsaturday someplace, proper? #indiedev #gamedev pic.twitter.com/4tLyTF0kdv

This shot jogs my memory, of all issues, of our first multiplayer session in No Man’s Sky following the Next update. Six or seven of us congregating round a lonely spire on a poisoned planet, turning the lofty mesa right into a communal tenting spot. Unexplored 2’s tenting spot is likely to be a bit of lonelier and flaunt zero spaceships, but it surely nonetheless evokes that cosy sense of a house removed from dwelling.
Set to release later this year, Unexplored 2 brings the dungeon-delving roguelike above floor with a really sharp new 3D look.

Joost may need the broadest vary of aesthetics I’ve seen amongst the #screenshotsaturday regulars. From previously-featured crooked windmills to this minimalist “dress-up driving game”, there’s a staggering breadth of kinds on present. The above tram-ride is from Iokov, a at the moment in-development exploration game that, as his site describes, relies on the “architectural fantasies” of Russian designer Iokov Chernikhov.
Remaining within the realm of the summary, we merely should return to Skate Story. But, terrifyingly, we’re not fairly alone on this week’s session.

It’s been laborious to not put up about Skate Story each week, actually. I’ve already gushed at length over Sam Eng’s otherworldly grind – and every Saturday, that realm expands with one other temporary shot of spectral skaters and inconceivable areas.
But this week’s opened one thing extra. Something darker. The monoliths are gone, obscuring tree canopies taking their place. Figures congregate to watch the silver skater’s strains, however daren’t contact. Something is occurring to Skate Story, and I’m screaming to seek out out what.
