According to insider reports from Nexus Point, Michael Sarnoski—the visionary behind A Quiet Place: Day One—is being tapped to helm the next chapter of the Alien horror franchise. Currently, he is the top choice for 20th Century Studios. This development comes as no surprise to many, as Sarnoski previously revealed that the original Alien served as a major creative touchstone during the production of his Quiet Place prequel.
The filmmaker is currently overseeing the post-production phase of his latest project, The Death of Robin Hood. Furthermore, Sarnoski is set to lead the highly anticipated cinematic adaptation of Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding.
The most recent addition to the legendary sci-fi series, Alien: Romulus, was directed by Fede Alvarez.
