It is difficult to reconcile such high-tech ambitions with the final product, unless something was significantly lost in translation. While reports suggest the game begins with a competent, traditional Resident Evil atmosphere using mobile controls, it apparently shifts gears into a standard base-builder packed with gacha mechanics and microtransactions. For many fans, that’s where the real horror begins—and ends.
