Kayla Nicole is leaning into the spotlight, poking fun at her past relationship with Travis Kelce—and his global romance with Taylor Swift—in a clever new Super Bowl commercial that also features a cameo from Offset.

The satirical advertisement for the fantasy sports platform Sleeper premiered on Sunday, introducing a fictional agency called “The Ex-Communicators,” headed by comedian Tiffany Haddish and NBA star Ben Simmons. The premise involves the duo helping celebrities untangle their public identities from their famous former flames through a series of mock testimonial interviews.

“Don’t even get me started on those two—they are completely clueless,” Nicole says during her segment, while a caption identifies her simply as the “ex of a certain NFL player.” She continues, “Simmons and Haddish assured me they could resolve this whole ‘ex-girlfriend’ narrative promptly.”

Simmons immediately interjects with a sharp piece of wordplay. After Nicole tries to find the right synonym for a quick resolution, the basketball star retorts, “I said swiftly. Why is that so hard to remember?”—a direct nod to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s current fiancée.

The humor continues as Haddish takes a jab at Kelce’s cultural aesthetic. “That’s on me, I misread the situation. I thought he was Black, my mistake,” she quips. Simmons adds to the joke by referencing Kelce’s signature haircut: “To be fair, Tiff, as a community, we need to do a better job gatekeeping the taper fade.”

Nicole and Kelce shared an on-again, off-again relationship from 2017 until their final split in 2022. This commercial isn’t the first time the sports influencer has subtly addressed the media frenzy surrounding Kelce and Swift. Last Halloween, she notably dressed as R&B icon Toni Braxton, posting a video set to “He Wasn’t Man Enough.”

At the time, many fans interpreted the costume as a pointed reference to Kelce’s engagement to Swift, particularly given the song’s lyrics regarding a former lover’s new marriage.

Nicole isn’t the only star in the ad dealing with a high-profile breakup. Offset, whose public separation from Cardi B has made headlines since mid-2024, also makes a self-deprecating appearance. “I don’t even know why I’m here,” the rapper jokes. “I’m actually fantastic at relationships.”
