Billboard Readers Poll: Which New Release by LISA, Miley Cyrus, John Mayer and Others Is Your Favorite This Week
LISA Yeyoung Choi
LISA of BLACKPINK headlines this week’s New Music Friday releases with her Press Play EP. The bilingual, six-track set includes her Billboard Hot 100 hit “SaWaDiKa,” which stands at No. 69, and the newly released “Tarantino.”
The EP arrives ahead of the Thai singer’s Las Vegas residency, which runs Nov. 12-29. The track “Cobra” interpolates “Bomb Intro/Pass That Dutch,” the 2003 song by Missy Elliott and Timbaland.
John Legend’s Muse and Yung Miami’s Watch Dis are the two major albums in R&B and hip-hop, respectively. Muse is the EGOT winner’s first album-length collaboration with Pharrell Williams. Williams was inspired to make an LP with Legend after working with him on “The Birds Don’t Sing,” a track on Clipse’s Grammy-winning Let God Sort Em Out in 2025.
Watch Dis is Yung Miami’s debut solo studio album. She scored the biggest hit of her career this year with “Spend Dat,” nearly a decade after she emerged as one-half of City Girls.
Kacey Musgraves previewed her upcoming Middle of Nowhere Vol. 2: Tex Mex Tapes with the song “Weekend In Texas.” The project is a 16-track expansion of this year’s Middle of Nowhere. British DJ Sammy Virji surprise-released his second studio album, Open Late, which he conceived almost entirely on the road between shows.
