“Join your fellow Raiders in the Shared Watch celebration; collaborate with new allies, focus your firepower on the robotic threats, and claim your rewards in the process.”
Prominent among the incentives is “The Slugger,” a unique umpire-inspired cosmetic set. While other prizes have yet to be fully revealed, it’s expected that a progression track will offer various items to distinguish this from the permanent Arc trophy system, which also revolves around machine hunting.
Although Arc Raiders is built on a PvPvE foundation, the PvE elements often steal the spotlight. Players have always been able to assist strangers in taking down Arc bots, but Shared Watch provides a formal reason to adopt the pacifist philosophy that many in the community have already begun to favor.
To be clear, this event functions more as a secondary feature than a fundamental gameplay shift. It isn’t the permanent PvE mode some fans have requested, and the threat of PvP combat remains ever-present. Nevertheless, even as someone who enjoys the competitive side, I’ll likely be carrying extra defibrillators to help out any random players I encounter during the festivities.
