Razer to Pay Over $1 Million in Compensation for Zephyr Masks
In 2021, Razer launched the Zephyr respirator, which allegedly protected against 95% of airborne particles, preventing COVID-19 infection.
The company claimed that the mask not only featured a stylish design and RGB lighting but also met the N95 medical standard.
The US Federal Trade Commission found that Razer had not submitted an application to the Food and Drug Administration.
Under the terms of the agreement with the commission, the company will reimburse customers approximately $1.1 million and pay a fine of $100,000.
