Radeon RX 9070 XT Crushes RTX 5070 Ti in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Tests

AMD’s latest GPU lineup has shown impressive performance. According to ComputerBase’s tests, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 runs markedly better on the RDNA 4 architecture. The gap between the Radeon RX 9070 XT and the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti turned out to be surprisingly wide.

At 1440p, the RX 9070 XT outpaced NVIDIA’s rival by 31% — an uncommon result for this segment. The RTX 5070 Ti typically enjoyed a 6–7% advantage, but in the beta of the new Call of Duty that trend completely reversed: AMD’s card delivered performance approaching that of the much more expensive RTX 5090.

The tests were run with upscaling enabled — DLSS 4 for NVIDIA and FSR 4 (via the Adrenalin driver) for AMD. The game appears to be very well optimized for RDNA 4. The RX 9070 XT also posted stronger 1% low numbers, meaning fewer and less severe frame dips during intense scenes.

AMD’s lead persists across all resolutions, including 4K, where the margin narrows slightly but remains noticeable. That said, not every Radeon benefits equally — the RX 7800 XT performs at roughly the level of an RTX 4070, while the RX 7600 matches its green counterpart.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is the first major title to truly exploit RDNA 4’s potential. If the final release keeps these results, it could be a significant win for AMD. The official launch is scheduled for November 14, 2025.
