While the multiplayer has delighted many players, the recent campaign presentation has raised concerns.
Battlefield 6 is slated to launch on October 10. The developers opened the multiplayer for beta testing, but the single-player campaign was not made available.
Players began scrutinizing the Battlefield 6 campaign trailer, and what they saw made them uneasy.
A clip went viral showing NPCs marching in formation and then suddenly freezing—no animations, as if the models were literally “frozen.” When the player moved on, they followed, but their walking animations and subsequent actions looked very unnatural, almost as if their behavior was tied to the player’s position. Salty-Bar-1975 pointed out that it’s already late September, leaving very little time to address the issue.
User Mr-Too-Cool tried to calm the community, stating that he didn’t observe the problem with other players he watched:
“I watched others play the full 20 minutes and didn’t notice any issues. This glitch seems to be an isolated incident—this scene played correctly for other people.
Of course, there will be occasional bugs, and people tend to exaggerate their severity. DICE simply doesn’t devote as much attention to their campaigns anymore, especially story-driven ones, so they’re likely to patch any shortcomings after launch. It should still be a perfectly serviceable campaign and not a complete disaster….”.
