The developers of Marvel Rivals have signaled that 2025 was merely the “opening act” for the title.
Executive Producer Danny Koo remarked that “2025 was essentially a warm-up period,” highlighting that the game’s current iteration represents only the initial phase of the studio’s extensive long-term roadmap.
“We have ambitious plans for the coming year and no intention of slowing down. Our vision is already mapped out more than twelve months in advance, and I am incredibly excited for players to see what we have in store.”
Yachen Bian, Head of Publishing and Marketing at NetEase, further elaborated:
“Our goal for next year is to introduce a broader array of game modes. We are currently testing prototypes such as PvE and massive 18-vs-18 encounters. We want to offer players diverse choices because the experience is vastly different—fending off zombie hordes is not the same as competing against other players.”
Marvel Rivals is preparing to expand with fresh characters, experimental gameplay formats, and large-scale warfare, spanning from cooperative PvE content to chaotic multiplayer skirmishes.
