No Man’s Sky Update – version 5.12

We want to extend our gratitude to everyone exploring the vast universe of No Man’s Sky Aquarius. Your dedication and valuable feedback, especially through Zendesk and console crash reports, have been instrumental in enhancing the game experience. We’ve listened to your concerns and addressed several issues in the latest patch 5.12, now available on Steam and rolling out to other platforms shortly.

What’s New in Patch 5.12

  • Expedition Posters: We’ve fixed the problem where some expedition posters were missing from the catalogue, ensuring your missions are fully accessible.
  • Fishing Improvements: Fishing interruptions caused by players warping out of the system have been resolved. Additionally, the fishing float now behaves more naturally on the water, and occasional issues with fish surfacing have been addressed.
  • Exo-Skiff Enhancements: The inventory size for Exo-Skiff has been corrected for existing saves, and it now better protects against environmental hazards. You can also access the cool storage inventory anytime you’re near the skiff.
  • Fishing Rigs: The glitch allowing two fishing rigs to be installed simultaneously has been fixed, along with incorrect values generated by some bait food products.
  • Visual and Interaction Fixes: Minor visual issues with the Lost Angler’s Rig, Gek characters during fishing, and the Photo Mode camera colliding with the Exo-Skiff have been resolved. Water visuals in VR and on PS5 have also seen improvements.
  • Fleet and Ship Repairs: Players who lost freighters and frigate fleets while changing galaxies in version 5.10 will have them partially restored. Various ship-related bugs, including ghost ships appearing incorrectly and issues with dismissing squadron pilots, have been fixed.
  • Performance Enhancements: Addressed rare crashes on PS4, including those occurring when loading saves or playing the PS4 version on a PS5 console. Shadow rendering issues at high resolution settings have also been tackled.

We continue to work diligently to improve your journey across the stars. Thank you for your ongoing support and enthusiasm!
