No Man’s Sky The Cursed Update – version 5.20

No Man’s Sky The Cursed Update – version 5.20

Our previous update had players enjoying relaxing fishing activities in No Man’s Sky, but our next update takes a completely different direction! With Halloween approaching, we’re delving into the darker, spookier aspects of the No Man’s Sky Universe. This theme harkens back to the early days of Atlas Rises, when ancient portals began to emerge, and the barriers between different realities started to weaken…

Today, we’re excited to introduce Expedition Sixteen: The Cursed – an adventure where players must struggle to maintain their grasp on reality while being haunted by eerie visions and voices from another dimension.

The Cursed is set in a twilight realm that exists on the edge between one reality and the next.

Travelers won’t have access to hyperdrive technology, meaning star system hopping is off the table. Instead, interstellar journeys will rely solely on the ancient portal network.

Patch 5.20 Notes

  • Expedition Sixteen: The Cursed is launching soon and will run for approximately two weeks.
  • During the expedition, the boundary walls between universes are deteriorating. Traditional hazards are replaced by Local Boundary Strength, which must be maintained to prevent boundary horrors from intruding.
  • Rewards include new posters, decals, titles, a unique jetpack trail, a bioluminescent companion, a cursed helmet customization, and the exclusive Boundary Herald starship.
