The Rapture’s breakup was announced in 2014. Now, 5 years later, frontman Luke Jenner has revealed that they’re coming again, Stereogum points out. The band have introduced two reveals. They’re enjoying Music Hall of Williamsburg on April 30 (which is the place they performed their final present in 2012) adopted by the Long Beach music pageant Just Like Heaven on May 4.
“It’s been this long gritty road trying to figure out how to be a father and a husband which seemed a lot more important than standing on stage in front of anyone,” Jenner wrote within the beneath assertion on Facebook. “We went to therapy, we talked it out, it’s still a little weird, but I couldn’t do it if I didn’t feel like it was gonna be some kinda personal progress. Anyway, I hope there is a long future for us and we can build something new. Maybe you will join us someplace along the way again.”
The Rapture’s final album was 2011’s In the Grace of Your Love.
