Entertainment Weekly has unveiled a new look at Maggie Gyllenhaal’s upcoming directorial project, The Bride!. This stylized reimagining of the iconic Bride of Frankenstein is scheduled for a U.S. theatrical release on March 6.
The film features leading performances by Jessie Buckley (Hamnet) and Christian Bale (The Dark Knight). Set against the backdrop of the 1930s, the narrative centers on Frankenstein’s monster as he petitions a scientist to craft a companion to share his existence.
The star-studded ensemble is further bolstered by the presence of Penélope Cruz, Annette Bening, Peter Sarsgaard, and Jake Gyllenhaal, among others.
