NetEase is pulling the plug on yet another Marvel-licensed title.
NetEase Games has officially confirmed the impending end of support for MARVEL Mystic Mayhem, its team-based tactical RPG set within the Marvel universe. The studio announced that the production of new content will conclude on April 1, 2026. However, fans can continue to play until a total server shutdown occurs, with developers promising at least a 60-day notice prior to the final blackout.
According to NetEase, in-game microtransactions will be systematically disabled starting December 25, 2025. As a gesture of gratitude to the community, the team will begin distributing special rewards to those who stay with the game through its final months.
Despite the sunsetting phase, the studio plans to release several remaining narrative updates. In early 2026, the roster will expand to include iconic heroes such as Jean Grey, Venom, Wolverine, and Cyclops. The campaign’s definitive final chapter is also scheduled to debut this coming January.
This marks the second time in recent years that a NetEase Marvel project has met an early end. In June 2024, the studio shuttered the MOBA Marvel Super War after a five-year run. In contrast, Mystic Mayhem appears destined for a significantly shorter lifespan, likely concluding less than a year after its initial launch.
