Fans continue experimenting with the franchise’s games.
Recently, a modder known as Cheello released a trailer for a project called Voxel Duke Nukem. He set out to rework the shooter using voxels — instead of spinning 2D sprites, enemies and other elements will be fully realized:
“All monsters, femmes, props and much more have been completely converted into voxel-based 3D models. Play through the first three original episodes with voxel assets and enjoy a fresh, contemporary take on Duke’s atmosphere like never before. Hail to the King, baby.”
Cheello did not specify a release date for the voxel remake of the shooter.
