Vegetation will now look more natural.
Minecraft’s developers are preparing the 1.21.11 update for release. Ahead of the launch, they published several pre-release builds.
Mojang outlined the fixes and enhancements:
- The new See-Through Leaves setting: when disabled, gaps between leaves render as dark green rather than black. The team also noted that turning it off “now provides a larger performance boost than before.”
- Added a Texture Filtering option. Available choices are None, RGSS, and Anisotropic.
- RGSS (Rotated Grid Super Sampling) is a shader-based filtering technique that sharpens textures while imposing a moderate performance cost.
- Mojang says Anisotropic filtering delivers the best texture clarity.
Players have already started sharing their impressions of the new options.
