Ocean’s Eleven Prequel Starring Margot Robbie Loses Director

Oscar-nominated filmmaker Lee Isaac Chung, known for Minari and the recent hit Twisters, has reportedly vacated the director’s chair for the upcoming Ocean’s Eleven prequel.

The decision to step down stems from creative differences with the production team and Warner Bros. The film is headlined by Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper, following the exploits of Danny Ocean’s parents as they orchestrate a sophisticated heist across 1960s Europe.

A successor for Chung has yet to be announced. Previously, Jay Roach (Meet the Parents) was linked to the project, which currently remains without a confirmed release date.

Simultaneously, Warner Bros. is moving forward with a fourth installment in the main Ocean’s franchise. This sequel is expected to reunite the star-studded ensemble of George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Julia Roberts.
