Jeremy Allen White Could Play Wolverine
Jeremy Allen White, star of “The Bear,” has reportedly met with Marvel Studios representatives about joining the “X-Men” reboot, according to insider Jeff Sneider. The actor is rumored to be in contention for the role of Wolverine, who would make a brief appearance in the first film before taking on a much larger role in future installments. The report has not been officially confirmed.
If the rumor proves true, White would take over from Hugh Jackman, who portrayed Logan for more than two decades. The new film will be directed by Jake Schreier, the filmmaker behind “Thunderbolts*,” with a screenplay by Michael Lesslie. The announced cast includes Sadie Sink, Kit Connor, Christopher Abbott, Samara Weaving, Indi Navarrette, Maya Boyd, Peter Claffey, and Adam Driver.
Filming is expected to begin in the United Kingdom in early 2027. The new “X-Men” movie is scheduled for release on May 5, 2028.
