Actor Cast as Iceman in New X-Men Revealed
Ben Wang (Karate Kid: Legends) is in talks to join the X-Men reboot from Marvel and Sony Pictures, Deadline reports. Wang could play Iceman, one of the superhero team’s central members.
Gabriel LaBelle (The Fabelmans), Jackson Kelly (The Pitt) and Rhenzy Feliz (The Penguin) were also considered for the role. Shawn Ashmore portrayed the character in the X-Men films of the 2000s.
Iceman, whose real name is Robert Drake, made his comic-book debut in 1963. His primary superpower is cryokinesis: the ability to create snow and ice.
The upcoming X-Men film also features Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Indi Navarrette as Rogue, Christopher Abbott as Professor X and Adam Driver as Mister Sinister. Jake Schreier (Thunderbolts*) will direct. An exact release date has not been announced.
