FX’s hit dramedy “The Bear” is set to wrap up its run following the fifth season, as revealed by actress Jamie Lee Curtis.
Curtis’s statement was subsequently corroborated by Deadline. While an official premiere date for the final installment has yet to be announced (the show typically debuts in June), industry insiders suggest that production on the new episodes is scheduled to begin in January.
“The Bear” chronicles the life of Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), an elite chef who returns home to manage his family’s gritty Chicago sandwich shop. Since its 2022 premiere, the series has become a critical juggernaut, securing 21 Emmy Awards and five Golden Globes.
The acclaimed ensemble includes Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, and Abby Elliott. The series was created by Christopher Storer, who is also known for his work on “Ramy.”
