Minecraft drops Dragon Ball Z fighting DLC — 1v1, 5v5 and co‑op modes, voxelized Goku, buff Bulma, and new skins

Minecraft Dragon Ball Z DLC Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo

Minecraft has quietly launched a Dragon Ball Z crossover DLC that adds a dedicated fighting mode alongside themed skins you can wear outside the arena.

The DLC’s roster includes 11 fighters drawn from the Dragon Ball Z universe: Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Gohan, Frieza, Trunks, Krillin, Android 18, Cell, Android 17, and Majin Buu. Each character comes with signature moves—Goku’s Kamehameha and Ki attacks, Vegeta’s Galick Gun and Final Flash, and so on—and fighters are unlocked by defeating them in matches.

Outside the fighting arenas, the DLC adds a skin pack so you can outfit your avatar as many Dragon Ball Z icons—fighters, a notably muscular Bulma, and more. There’s also a limited-time Scouter headband item so players can jokingly check power levels (“over 9000”) for friends and opponents.

Mojang has announced plans to publish the Java Edition source code after 16 years to make it easier and faster for modders to create and improve mods.
