‘Marty Supreme’ Earns the Best Box Office Opening in A24 History

The sports dramedy "Marty Supreme," starring Timothée Chalamet, raked in $28.1 million during its domestic opening weekend. This milestone represents the highest-grossing launch ever recorded for an A24 production.

The film’s commercial success was bolstered by the Christmas holiday frame. It surpassed the previous record held by "Civil War," which debuted with $25.5 million over a standard three-day weekend in April 2024.

The story chronicles the life of Marty Reisman, a driven table tennis pro navigating 1952 New York City. Directed by Josh Safdie ("Uncut Gems"), "Marty Supreme" is scheduled to hit theaters in Russia on January 15.
