Marvel Studios has reportedly approached Academy Award-winning filmmaker Jordan Peele, the visionary behind Get Out, to helm an upcoming project within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This update was shared by noted industry insider Daniel Richtman.
While neither Marvel nor Peele’s representatives have officially confirmed the news, media speculation has quickly linked him to the long-gestating Blade reboot. Since its initial announcement in the summer of 2019, the project has been mired in development challenges, cycling through several directors. Although a firm release date remains elusive, Mahershala Ali is still set to star as the titular vampire hunter.
Peele’s most recent directorial effort, the sci-fi horror Nope, debuted in 2022. He was previously expected to release a new feature in October 2026; however, Universal Pictures recently struck that project from its upcoming release schedule.
