Marvel Studios has reportedly approached Academy Award-winning filmmaker Jordan Peele, the visionary behind Get Out, to take the helm of one of its upcoming projects. This intelligence was shared by prominent Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman.
While representatives for both Marvel and Peele have declined to issue an official statement, industry speculation is heavily pointing toward the long-gestating Blade reboot. Since its initial reveal in the summer of 2019, the project has struggled through a revolving door of directors and creative shifts. Although the film currently lacks a definitive release window, Mahershala Ali remains attached to the titular role.
Peele’s most recent directorial effort, Nope, arrived in theaters in 2022. The director was previously scheduled to launch a new feature in October 2026; however, Universal Pictures recently removed that untitled project from its release calendar, sparking further curiosity regarding his next move.
