Bungie confirmed that a public “server slam” event is scheduled for later this month, giving the community a chance to stress-test the servers before the official launch on March 5 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. This follows a major PlayStation State of Play that also highlighted a modern remake of the original God of War trilogy.
Sony remains “very confident” in Marathon’s trajectory. Recent internal playtests have reportedly helped Bungie refine the gameplay, addressing critical feedback to ensure it stands as a formidable competitor in the extraction shooter genre.
