According to a recent court filing, Sony has voluntarily withdrawn its claim, and the lawsuit has been “dismissed with prejudice.” This legal standing ensures the case cannot be reopened or re-litigated in the future. A representative for Tencent confirmed the amicable resolution to The Verge.

“Sony Interactive Entertainment and Tencent are pleased to have finalized a confidential resolution and will provide no further public commentary on the matter,” stated Sean Durkin, Tencent Americas’ head of communications. “Both parties look forward to future opportunities for collaboration.”

Following the settlement, Light of Motiram has vanished from digital storefronts. While the game’s official website and social media channels remain active, they have not been updated since the legal proceedings began, leaving the project’s ultimate fate in doubt.

Nearly a decade after the debut of Horizon Zero Dawn, developer Guerrilla Games recently admitted they “always envisioned it as a multiplayer experience,” following the official reveal of a Horizon MMORPG.
