Susan Boyle Expresses Gratitude for Timothée Chalamet’s ‘Marty Supreme’ Praise: ‘We Should All Dream Big’

Susan Boyle Gratefully Responds to Timothée Chalamet’s Heartfelt Tribute

Timothée Chalamet has publicly declared his deep admiration for Susan Boyle, a sentiment the legendary vocalist has warmly reciprocated. The interaction highlights a cross-generational appreciation for one of the most iconic moments in modern entertainment history.

While discussing his upcoming film Marty Supreme with BBC correspondent Colin Patterson, Chalamet was asked to name British icons deserving of sporting the viral jacket associated with the movie. Alongside global stars like Lewis Hamilton and the Beckhams, Chalamet specifically highlighted Boyle as a figure of inspiration.

“She dreamt big—bigger than all of us,” Chalamet remarked, reflecting on the cultural impact of her 2009 Britain’s Got Talent audition. He noted that her performance of “I Dreamed a Dream” occurred during the formative years of YouTube, leaving a lasting impression on him that remains vivid to this day.

Boyle, who famously secured two No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 with I Dreamed a Dream and The Gift, was deeply moved by the actor’s praise. Taking to Instagram, she expressed her sincere gratitude to the Dune star.

“This has been so incredibly touching to read. I’m very flattered, @tchalamet. Those early days were quite something, and to know that moment meant something to you all these years on truly humbles me,” she shared. “We all start somewhere, with a dream and a bit of hope, don’t we? We should all dream big!”

The singer concluded her message by wishing Chalamet continued success as he pursues his own professional milestones. Chalamet is just the latest in a string of high-profile admirers to acknowledge Boyle’s legacy; earlier this summer, the Scottish singer was similarly celebrated by Oasis during their performance in Edinburgh, a tribute she said “made her day.”
