Kjun’s Letter: Upcoming Updates
Greetings, Creators.
This is Kjun.

In this message, I’m excited to unveil our ongoing feature developments and the future vision for inZOI.

Over the past month, our team has diligently tackled frequently reported issues, such as build stability, awkward emotional expressions, and the limited depth of the Karma system. This process has reinforced the vital role genuine emotions and behavior play in a life simulation game. We’re grateful that some players have noticed these improvements, stating that emotions and interactions now appear more natural. However, we recognize there is still much to enhance, and we are devoted to refining inZOI for a superior player experience.

Alongside our continuous hotfixes, we’re hard at work on the upcoming May and August updates. In May, we’re introducing eagerly awaited modding features. While they won’t allow the creation of entirely new systems at launch, they will enable modifications to key in-game data and settings. We’re also developing official plug-ins for Blender and Maya to facilitate the creation of custom outfits and furnishings, along with features for working with various asset types like textures, meshes, FX, and MetaSounds. Asset creation guidelines will be provided through tutorial videos and the modding interface. We aim to expand modding support, targeting full core feature integration by December.

With a new city entering the game, we’re exploring fresh challenges. We’ve listened to the community’s call for greater gameplay depth, striving to deliver content capable of enriching storytelling and engagement. To complement the new city’s ambiance, we’ll introduce smaller vehicles, like motorcycles, and much-requested vehicle personalization options. Initial animations may feel slightly awkward, as they’ll be based on our current vehicle systems. However, this development will enhance the thrill of navigating the city on a nimble ride, enriching both the narrative and atmosphere. We’re committed to creating something genuinely rewarding.

Although we’ve made adjustments to the Karma system in the recent hotfix, we’ll continue to refine and enhance it. To inject meaningful consequences, we’re designing new crime-related content where Zois can get caught and go to jail, sparking additional events. Our aim is to offer deeper gameplay experiences, where Karma-based interactions yield coherent, interconnected results. If you have any innovative ideas, please share them in the #inzoi-feedback channel on our Discord!

We’re also aware of the growing interest and discussions about inZOI’s use of AI. We’ll address this topic in a separate announcement, maintaining transparency and trust to ensure continued player enjoyment.

While inZOI is still evolving, our relentless efforts seek to transform it into a true life simulation game. Every piece of feedback from our players is invaluable, guiding us toward improvement. We will keep engaging with our community, so your insights are always welcome.

Finally, I extend my deepest gratitude for your unwavering support.

Thank you.
– Kjun
