Horror Visual Novel “Tiny Bunny” to Receive a Full Rebuild Instead of Episode 5 Fixes

Following a wave of backlash regarding the finale, the developers have decided to move beyond simple edits to the fifth episode.

The conclusion of the horror visual novel *Tiny Bunny* sparked a surge of dissatisfaction even among its most dedicated fanbase, prompting the developers to take drastic measures. Diverging from their previous commitment to merely patch the fifth episode, Saikono has announced the development of a “Rebuild”—a comprehensive overhaul of the entire game featuring an entirely new script, refined world logic, and a restructured narrative.

In an official statement, the project lead revealed that he has spent the past few months analyzing over six thousand player reviews. According to him, the original plan for incremental fixes proved to be an “inadequate compromise” that failed to address the story’s fundamental issues, leading the team to start over with a clean slate.

A primary focus of the “Rebuild” will be a return to the heavy mysticism, shamanic themes, and central mysteries that originally defined the *Tiny Bunny* experience. The updated lore is designed to unify all episodes into a singular, cohesive narrative, eliminating the disjointed leaps between alternate branches and prioritizing internal consistency. A significant mechanical change will ensure that items discovered in one storyline persist across others. Saikono further clarified that this revised lore will remain strictly consistent with the canon of the existing comic books.

Additionally, the developer promised to abandon the “puzzle-game” narrative approach, which previously required players to unlock every ending just to understand the plot. In the new version, each individual path will encompass all essential story arcs within a single playthrough.

To support this transition, a new writer has joined Saikono to help the script “resonate with fresh energy” while carefully preserving the atmospheric magic that captivated players during the early episodes.

A release window for the updated version has not yet been announced.
