Atmospheric adventure Planet of Lana II gets a release date and new trailer

The follow-up to the breathtaking puzzle-platformer is slated for a multi-platform release in March 2026, with a playable demo arriving in just a few days.

Publisher Thunderful Games and developer Wishfully have officially pulled back the curtain on the release date for Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf. The title is scheduled to launch on March 5, 2026, and will be available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and its successor, the Nintendo Switch 2. Additionally, the game will be available to subscribers on Xbox Game Pass starting from day one.

This sequel expands upon the narrative of the original game, which won over audiences with its hand-painted aesthetic and poignant storytelling. Lana and her faithful companion, Mui, are set to embark on a brand-new odyssey across the vibrant and mysterious world of Novo.

The development team has overhauled the stealth mechanics, introduced diverse enemy archetypes, and deepened the scope of exploration. Mui now benefits from refined control options, while Lana has mastered new traversal skills: she can now slide, climb, and interact more dynamically with her surroundings. Furthermore, she can influence other creatures to assist in solving the game’s intricate environmental puzzles.

Players can get an early taste of the adventure on February 11, when a Planet of Lana II demo debuts on Steam, the PlayStation Store, and Xbox platforms. Owners of the current Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2 will receive access to the demo at a later date.
