Black Myth: Wukong will release on Nintendo Switch 2 “at some point” — insider

Industry insider NateTheHate originally anticipated a Nintendo Switch 2 announcement for Black Myth: Wukong during the most recent Partner Direct.

Speculation regarding a potential Nintendo Switch 2 port for Black Myth: Wukong continues to gain significant traction. In a recent episode of his podcast, prominent leaker NateTheHate indicated that he has heard reports of the action RPG arriving on Nintendo’s next-generation hardware “at some point” in the future.

According to the insider, the project was expected to break cover during the Nintendo Partner Direct on February 5th. Although the presentation passed without a formal reveal, this doesn’t rule out a port; the official announcement may simply be held back for a later window to better align with the console’s launch cycle.

Game Science has historically navigated a complex path with console optimization. The Xbox Series X|S versions were famously delayed, launching long after the initial PC and PS5 debut. Unconfirmed reports suggested that Sony provided technical support to streamline the PlayStation 5 version, which likely contributed to its timed exclusivity over its Microsoft counterpart.

Should NateTheHate’s information prove accurate, bringing a technically demanding title like Black Myth: Wukong to the Switch 2 would likely require the expertise of a specialized porting studio. While outlets like Gameranx have speculated that Shiver Entertainment could be a prime candidate for the task, no official collaboration has been announced by the developers.
