Warhammer 40,000 fans will soon be able to pre-order three upcoming Astra Militarum novels from Black Library: The Cold Covenant by Peter Fehervari, Voice of Command by Richard Swan, and Auxilia by Russell Zimmerman.

Black Library announced the trio of books to spotlight both the everyday heroism and supernatural horrors confronting the disciplined ranks defending the Imperium.

Peter Fehervari returns with The Cold Covenant, focusing on the battle-hardened soldiers of the 27th Halgarth Saltdogs. After spending months on an isolated world, the regiment prepares to ship out to a new war zone. Upon learning that their destination is a lethal death world, four soldiers plot to desert. The Cold Covenant will also receive a special edition featuring an afterword by the author alongside the bonus short story Blindsight.

Richard Swan contributes Voice of Command, which follows the Cadian 2002nd Mechanised regiment deployed to retake a fallen shrine city on the planet Nymea. The story chronicles Colonel Gabriel “Venom” Welterson as he contends with the toxic glare of a mysterious blue star, relentless heresy broadcast across a hijacked vox-network, an Inquisitorial quarantine, and capricious Nymean commanders squandering his forces.

Russell Zimmerman adds Auxilia to the lineup. The novel follows a young Cadian castellan forced to take command of a motley abhuman auxiliary unit. In the middle of an escalating civil war, the assignment draws the ire of his callous, bloodthirsty commissar.

All three novels will be available for pre-order in the near future. Black Library also stated that pre-orders for Guy Haley’s Raldoron: Revenant are now scheduled to open on September 2, 2026, rather than August 29.
