Cyberpunk 2077 Co-Op Mod in Development, Gameplay Trailer Released
Players could soon explore Night City together.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a single-player game, but some CD Projekt RED fans would like multiplayer or a co-op mode. Modders may now deliver one.
A gameplay trailer was recently published online for NightCoop, a fan-made co-op mode for Cyberpunk 2077. Its authors say that “the whole story can be played together.” The video shows real gameplay from co-op sessions on two PCs (host and partner), with the recordings synced by audio.
The mod’s creators shared several technical details:
- Dialogue choices are decided by a vote, and the majority pick applies for all players.
- Story scenes play at the same time for both players and are skipped together.
- Enemies and NPCs are simulated on one PC, and their actions are replicated exactly on the other.
- Rides in the same vehicle, VR training and timed dialogues are all available together.
- A PvP toggle is included, and a downed player can be picked up.
The NightCoop authors promise to launch beta testing “soon.”

MDRevoice recently announced a similar co-op mod for Cyberpunk 2077. The modder plans to start testing in a few days but is not yet sure the mod will allow a full co-op playthrough when the open beta begins. An unofficial multiplayer project called “CyberMP” is also in development.
