“The proliferation of AI has the potential to revolutionize communication,” Kojima explained. “For those who struggle with face-to-face interaction, AI could bridge the gap, helping them forge closer ties with others… Its utility is undeniable.”

Despite acknowledging its benefits, Kojima remains cautious about the long-term impact on human self-sufficiency. He suggests that users should establish personal boundaries to avoid over-reliance. “I worry that humanity might become overly dependent,” he admitted. “We should consider intentional limits—perhaps reducing the role of AI in certain tasks or designating specific days to go without it entirely.”

While contemplating the future of technology, Hideo Kojima also expressed interest in unconventional projects, including “a game designed to entertain an AI” and experiences tailored for zero-gravity environments.
