An all-new Xbox Elite Wireless Controller and a limited edition Halo Infinite Xbox Series X are on the way from Microsoft. Both were announced Wednesday during the Gamescom Opening Night Live presentation featuring Geoff Keighley. Both are available for pre-order as well.
Rendered in green and gold and marked with “117” for the Master Chief himself, the new Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series Two runs for $199.99. It includes interchangeable thumbsticks with black, paddle-shaped levers. It has the ability to save three custom profiles alongside one default profile, and it uses both Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth technology. Just like the current version, it will be compatible with both the Xbox console ecosystem and Windows 10 PCs. No release date was given.
The Xbox Series X Halo Infinite Limited Edition Bundle goes for $549.99 and is expected to launch on Nov. 15. It includes an elaborate case design, with a white and blue starfield on the top and gold accents throughout. It includes the Xbox Series X, a traditional Xbox Wireless Controller with a matching paint scheme, an appropriate HDMI cable, and a copy of Halo Infinite.
Halo Infinite has been baking for some time inside 343 Industries. On Aug. 20, developers announced the high-profile game would launch without a cooperative campaign mode or the Forge multiplayer mode. The game will be released on Dec. 8 after a lengthy delay.
