Erabit is maintaining its momentum in bridging the gap between platforms, porting more PC-exclusive content to the mobile version of Halls of Torment.
Developer Erabit has rolled out a significant update for the mobile edition of Halls of Torment: Premium, headlined by the debut of a new playable character — the Bard. This update follows his initial appearance in the PC version in late 2025. Unlike other heroes, the Bard’s abilities synchronize with the game’s musical elements, transforming the minimalist “bullet heaven” formula into a unique rhythm-based roguelike experience.
Alongside the Bard, the expansion introduces fresh abilities, five unique artifacts, and 20 additional challenges. The developers have also implemented a manual level-up feature. When activated, characters will no longer receive automatic upgrades, allowing players to strategically distribute their improvements by hand.
The Premium version of Halls of Torment arrived on mobile devices in October 2024, providing an experience nearly identical to its PC counterpart. Later, in September 2025, Erabit launched a free-to-play edition supported by in-app purchases. While this version attracted a wider audience, it drew criticism for technical instability, aggressive monetization, and artificial progression gates.
