GTA Online: First Details of the Winter DLC and Next-Gen PC Version Announcement

Developers kicked off November with gratitude and plans for the near future. This month, we can expect more intriguing community challenges, which will be followed by rewards if players succeed—perhaps something entirely new—as the traditional winter update for GTA Online is set to release in December.

“Some Get Stitched, Others Get Caught”

The next business property available for purchase will be the Darnell Bros sewing factory, a memorable location from the first major heist in GTA 5. Assisting with cross-stitching will be submarine helmsman Pavel and an unnamed former FIB agent (initially suspected to be Dave Norton, but the French, Italian, Spanish, German, and Polish versions of the news used a feminine term—implying it’s a woman). New heists can be initiated both from a computer at the production site and remotely via a new phone app.

We’ll also enjoy new vehicles, additional law enforcement missions, more features in the job editor (will we be able to create our own missions?), expanded capabilities for the Benefactor Terrorbyte, including a collector’s scanner useful for finding various collectibles.

The community believes that parked in front of the sewing factory is a Bravado Banshee GTS, resembling a fifth-generation Dodge Viper.

Other Improvements and Next-Gen on PC

A series of changes will be implemented to make life easier for players. For instance, the stock of body armor will be replenished before missions, and access to HSW tuning, Benny’s original works, and upgrading cars to drift versions will be available through the Vinewood Car Club for GTA+ users.

All modifications under one roof. Convenient.

Speaking of the paid subscription, it seems that PC users will soon be able to subscribe as well. Rockstar announced that all features and content currently available only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S will also be coming to PC. This includes ray tracing for reflections and shadows, the Career Progress system, animals in the free mode of Online, certain missions, and many other perks. The upgrade to the next-gen version will occur sometime next year, possibly in spring (March will mark three years since the release of the “enhanced and expanded” version), summer (alongside another DLC), or at the end of the year (for the holiday season and another update)?..
