Only two days remain until the release of Ghost of Yōtei, and Sucker Punch has revealed the day-one patch details. Version 1.006 is mandatory for disc owners and delivers several notable improvements.
The update enhances environmental rendering, photo mode, and missions with large numbers of characters. Rare crashes that occurred when loading saves or after extended play sessions have been addressed. Camera behavior during combat has been adjusted, and bugs in the Bamboo Strike and Zeni Hajiki mini-games have been fixed.
The changelog spans multiple areas. Under performance, ray-tracing stability, photo mode reliability, and optimization for NPC-heavy missions were improved. Gameplay fixes resolve audio glitches, weapon issues, stealth-kill problems, and dialogue errors. Camera movement has been smoothed, and weapon and talisman balance has been reworked, particularly on higher difficulty settings.
Animation updates refine cutscene transitions, facial expressions, and enemy motion. The intro sequence was refreshed, visual artifacts and incorrect weapon positions were corrected. Environmental textures for mountains, caves, trees, and hot springs were overhauled, and deep snow now conceals characters more realistically.
Photo mode glitches, UI bugs, and font and icon issues have been corrected. The number of startup pop-ups has been reduced, trophy icons were updated, the map received improvements, and new photo mode options were added.

Ghost of Yōtei launches on October 2, 2025 for PS5.
