Star Wars: The Old Republic artistic director is making a Telltale-like recreation

Former artistic director of Star Wars: The Old Republic, Daniel Erickson, is heading up new Fox-owned studio, Fogbank Entertainment, in San Francisco (through VentureBeat).

Fogbank Entertainment is a part of FoxSubsequent Games, a division of 21st Century Fox, and due to this fact Disney. Fogbank Entertainment’s debut mission shall be an episodic narrative recreation within the vein of Telltale’s many adventures. The recreation is ready to attract from movie studio 20th Century Fox’s characters, tales, and areas. Which means we may see a recreation based mostly on the likes of Home Alone, The Simpsons, Deadpool, and even Star Wars: Episode One – The Phantom Menace.

Erickson is on the helm of Fogbank Entertainment, because the studio’s director, accompanied by veterans similar to Kabam’s Nathan Germick, as government producer, and former BioWare lead author Alex Reed, who will oversee narrative improvement.

“FoxNext is committed to developing quality gaming experiences, and Fogbank is going to help us to develop an interactive storytelling platform that allows us to expand on Fox’s catalog of entertainment while also developing new, unique fiction,” Aaron Loeb, president of studios at FoxSubsequent Games, says in a press release (through VentureBeat).

“Narrative and story-driven games continue to rank among the top grossing and most downloaded games across industry standards, and we’re assembling a team of people dedicating to furthering the form.”
