The last time we had news of Fumito Ueda’s next game and his studio genDESIGN was in 2018. Since then, it was radio silence, but the new year has apparently made the creator of ICO, Shadow of the Colossus and The Last Guardian to talk about his work again about which we do not know much, to say nothing. In reality, it’s by going to the studio’s official website that we can see a message to wish us a happy new year for 2021 and if we pay attention, we see that each number of the year refers to each of Ueda-san’s games. ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian and the last one, whose main character we can finally see for the first time. The latter wears a sort of red cape / loincloth in which he seems to be draped and he stands next to a monument, a sort of building that seems more imposing than himself. A universe that obviously recalls each of the other three games imagined by Fumito Ueda in person, who has never hidden a certain connection between them.
Recall that the last official image of this still untitled game allowed us to discover a frail young girl, sitting on a stone plinth facing a sort of sleeping monster. As much to say to you that Ueda-san still has this fascination between the human being and the imposing creatures. We can’t wait to know more …
