Free A Haunted Day DLC for action-platformer Sanabi launches on Switch in January 2026

What began as a modest crowdfunding milestone has blossomed into a substantial two-hour prequel, which is currently available for players on Steam.

South Korean developer Wonder Potion and publisher NEOWIZ have officially announced the upcoming release of the free expansion, A Haunted Day, for the action-platformer Sanabi on Nintendo Switch. Scheduled for a January 15, 2026 launch, the DLC offers a narrative campaign set thirteen years before the events of the primary storyline.

In A Haunted Day, players step into the role of Major Song, a high-ranking officer of Uigeumbu Unit 12. She is dispatched to investigate a suspicious robotic salvage yard located south of Hanyang. Shifting away from the chain-hook mechanics used by the base game’s protagonist, Major Song relies on fluid acrobatic maneuvers and devastating shotgun blasts to navigate her environment.

The expansion has already seen a successful debut on Steam, garnering acclaim that rivals the original title. A Haunted Day currently holds a 95% positive rating based on over 2,000 reviews. This follows the massive success of Sanabi itself, which has maintained a 97% positive rating across nearly 38,000 reviews since its release two years ago.

Simultaneously, Wonder Potion is developing a second free update that will focus on Mari, the daughter of the main protagonist. Developed on an enhanced version of the game engine, this chapter is designed to serve as a narrative bridge between Sanabi and its upcoming sequel. While a precise release date remains under wraps, it is expected to launch alongside Sanabi 2.
