Five Nights at Freddy’s creator teases spin-off

When Earth has turn out to be an empty wasteland ready to be consumed by the solar, Scott Cawthon will nonetheless be making Five Nights at Freddy’s video games. Since 2014, Cawthon has launched six video games within the sequence, and whereas he shelved the newest installment again in July, he’s already returned with a brand new one. Details are slim in the meanwhile, but it surely appears like a… pizzeria simulator.

It kind of is smart. The sequence is all about surviving an evening inside a family-friendly restaurant full of animatronic nightmares. When Cawthon introduced that he was taking a break and canning the earlier FNaF, he joked: “Maybe I’ll try my hand at a pizzeria tycoon game, who knows.”

It seems that won’t have been a joke.

Hopping over to Cawthon’s web site, you may see a picture of an Eight-bit Freddy launching pizzas at grinning homunculi with the caption “in two days…” accompanying it. But that’s it. Per week in the past Cawthon did tease the brand new recreation in a Steam update post, nevertheless.

In game-related information, I REFUSE to let a complete yr go by and not using a recreation launch, so I’m placing collectively one thing enjoyable for all of you for the vacations. I’m undecided if I’ll launch it on Steam or Gamejolt but, however I’ll let you understand. Hopefully it gained’t take for much longer to wrap it up.

It wouldn’t be the primary time that Cawthon has spun off the sequence in a unique route. Last yr, he launched FNaF World, a turn-based RPG romp that turned the animatronic monsters into adventuring heroes. It was initially launched a bit too early, prompting Cawthon to take away it from sale and finally relaunch it free of charge.

Cheers, PC Gamer.
