In the wake of her latest album, Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You, Ethel Cain has extended her global tour into early 2026 with performances across Australia and New Zealand.
Scheduled for February 2026, these concerts mark Cain’s first live dates of the year. She’ll inaugurate the run at Auckland Town Hall before making her way to Australia for a five-show trek—headlining two nights at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre and one-off appearances in Sydney, Brisbane and Fremantle.
The New Zealand engagement represents Cain’s debut in the country, while her Australian jaunt is a welcome return following her festival showcases at RISING, Vivid Live and Dark MOFO back in 2023.
This announcement arrives mere days after the August 8 release of her sophomore record, Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You. The album serves as a conceptual prelude to her 2022 debut, Preacher’s Daughter, which soared to No. 10 on the Billboard 200 upon its vinyl reissue. In addition, the new record has dominated the Top Alternative Albums, Top Album Sales and Vinyl Albums charts, and secured No. 2 on both the Top Rock & Alternative Albums and Top Rock Albums listings.
Behind the Ethel Cain persona is artist Hayden Anhedönia, who recently disclosed that this release marks the thematic conclusion of her eponymous narrative.
“Preacher’s Daughter explored my experiences within the church and my childhood fears. In contrast, Willoughby Tucker delves into insecurities, frustrations and vulnerabilities in love. Both records are deeply personal, though they navigate different emotional landscapes,” Anhedönia explained on Popcast.
“With this album, the story of Ethel Cain, the granddaughter character, comes to a close. Having inhabited her persona for 27 years, I now step away to live and gather new experiences.”
Cain is set to launch the Willoughby Tucker Forever Tour in Seattle on August 12, with North American, U.K. and European dates running through mid-November.
