Control the touch of the ball
Players will be able to control strike force and determine dribbling speed – from a single hit to a full dash, just like in real football. In addition, on PlayStation®5, eFootball ™ will use the haptic feedback of the controller and adaptive triggers to feel the difference in movement.
* This feature will be added after launch through an update. More information will be shared soon.
Manipulate the defender
With more freedom in how the player traps the ball, each game will become a game of trickery *. A wide range of dribbling and body feints will also be available with intuitive controls. Combined, these two features will make any duel an exciting time for the attacker as well as the defender.
* This feature will be added after launch through an update. More information will be shared soon.
Steal the ball and create opportunities
Players will be able to block their opponent’s shot by throwing themselves in front of the ball or observing the kick to cut the pass. Naturally, stealing the ball close to the goal will create a great opportunity to score.
Physical battles
eFootball will replicate the physical defense, essential in football, with charge control when defending. In addition, the offensive team can also use their bodies to keep the ball in play, making both offensive and defensive play more dynamic.
Execute a sharp kick
An option to load a sharp kick, accompanied by new animations, will make the game even more technical and exciting. Players will also be able to perform special moves, such as sharp shots to center, quick lob passes, and up shots. These new actions will take longer to complete, so players will need to choose the best opportunities during a match.
* This feature will be added after launch through an update. More information will be shared shortly.
Focus on 1vs1 duels
The eFootball development team analyzed real football tactics to create a new set of “1vs1” win / lose rules. Using Motion Matching technology, the game will assess the ball, speed of movement, body direction, physical ability and other parameters in real time that will affect each player’s movement. These pass / lose rules will work hand in hand with player movement to make the game even more compelling, including foul decisions, which have been reworked.
Improved team play styles and new controls
Team play styles are an important part of football, so the AI in controlling players who are not in possession of the ball has been redesigned. With improved AI and new attack and defense controls, players will have more freedom in their playstyle.
A new camera: Duel
The new “Duel” camera will zoom when the player finds himself in a 1vs1 situation, to allow him to appreciate the scene more closely. When the player is in a free situation, the field of vision will widen, to help him send a long pass at the right time.
General improvements
The new Motion Matching animation system will create much more natural and fluid body movements. In addition, the movement of the ball has been improved thanks to a partnership with a research institute. Finally, the action will never end during a match with the Seamless Restart system.
Of course, we remind you that eFootball will change its economic model, with additions that will be added over the weeks and the program concocted by Konami and the development teams. PES becomes a real service game for better monitoring and undoubtedly stopping the systematic purchase of the annual episode at each start of the school year. It remains to be seen whether the public will buy into the concept. The release of eFootball is expected this fall on PC, PS5, Xbox Series, PS4 and Xbox One.
