Dolly Parton Postpones Las Vegas Residency to Undergo Medical Procedures

Dolly Parton has postponed her planned Las Vegas residency after announcing she will undergo several medical procedures. In a message shared on her social channels on Sunday, September 28, 2025, the country music legend said her doctors advised the interventions and that she needs additional time to prepare the production to the standard she expects.
The shows were scheduled for The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in early December 2025, but Parton confirmed they will be moved to September 2026 so she can recover and properly rehearse. She explained that, while she can continue working on other projects from Nashville, staging the live show as intended requires more preparation than the current timeline allows.
Parton told fans she wanted them to hear the news directly from her. She said she won’t compromise the quality of the performance — “You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you,” — and asked for patience as she takes the necessary time to get show-ready.
The original December engagement dates were December 4, 6, 7, 10, 12 and 13, 2025. The concerts have been rescheduled to September 17, 19, 20, 23, 25 and 26, 2026. Tickets purchased for the December dates will remain valid for the new dates; refunds will also be made available to ticketholders. Promoters and The Colosseum at Caesars Palace said ticket buyers will receive additional details and instructions via email.
The residency was billed to span seven decades of Parton’s catalog, promising classics such as “9 to 5,” “Jolene,” “I Will Always Love You” and “Coat of Many Colors.” This run would have marked Parton’s most extensive Las Vegas engagement since a brief residency at the Mirage in the early 1990s, where she performed with Kenny Rogers.
Fans and patrons are encouraged to monitor official communications from Dolly Parton’s team and Caesars Palace for updates, email instructions about refunds or ticket transfers, and any further scheduling information.
