Death Stranding 2 Official Trailer
The mention of “new challenges and rewards” suggests that On The Beach may introduce tougher optional objectives or exclusive endgame loot. Beyond new content, the PC version will allow players to fully optimize Sam Bridges’ second journey with uncapped framerates and advanced upscaling technology.
The Death Stranding universe is also expanding beyond consoles and PCs. There are currently three screen adaptations in the works: two feature films and an animated series. The latter is intended as a spin-off, providing a narrative independent of the game trilogy.
Kojima remains incredibly busy, with Physint in development for PlayStation and the experimental horror title OD for Xbox. Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is scheduled for its PC debut on March 19.
In typical visionary fashion, Hideo Kojima suggests his creative drive is simply a part of his nature: “Creativity isn’t a special skill for me—it’s as natural as eating. If it were removed from my life, I likely wouldn’t survive.”
