Mintrocket has unveiled extensive details regarding the upcoming “In the Jungle” DLC for Dave the Diver, which the studio describes as the game’s most significant narrative expansion yet. This update introduces roughly 10 hours of fresh content, incorporating entirely new systems, environments, and gameplay mechanics.
Dave is set to venture beyond the familiar depths of the Blue Hole into a vibrant freshwater ecosystem. The primary hub for this journey is the village of Utara, where players will explore the surroundings, undertake side quests, and interact with a unique cast of local residents.
The expansion introduces a new culinary venture called the Bancho Grill, situated within the village. Here, Dave will manage customer service across multiple levels, featuring a menu specialized in freshwater catches. To aid his hunt, a new “Jungle Gun” set has been added—a versatile weapon system that can be configured into a net gun, shotgun, sniper rifle, or standard firearm.
The gameplay perspective has shifted toward a more isometric view for certain segments. Players can also look forward to new mini-games, jungle-based activities, and cooperative tasks with NPCs aimed at expanding the Bancho Grill and revitalizing the village infrastructure.
Furthermore, Mintrocket confirmed that a mobile version of the game is in development, featuring a UI fully optimized for touch controls. The mobile release will debut in China first, with a global launch scheduled for 2026. Additionally, a physical edition including the DLC is planned for the PS5 and the successor to the Switch in 2026.
