Talia Vedra Returns to Warhammer Age of Sigmar: “First Marshal” Novel Announced

Next year, Warhammer Age of Sigmar enthusiasts will follow the continued exploits of Freeguild Marshal Tahlia Vedra and her formidable manticore, Infernadine, in the upcoming novel First Marshal by Evan Dicken.

The editorial team at Black Library has officially unveiled this latest expansion of the Age of Sigmar narrative, penned by acclaimed author Evan Dicken.

In this new adventure, Tahlia Vedra must leave the scorching lands of Aqshy to cross the Realmgate into Hammerhal Ghyra. There, she will face the sinister machinations of Hashut’s hellsmiths. The Marshal is tasked with rallying her people against a rising tide of darkness and orchestrating a defense against these formidable foes.

First Marshal is slated for a 2026 release. Black Library expects to reveal more plot details and host a featured interview with the author in the near future.

For those looking to delve into the history of how Vedra earned her legendary reputation, Evan Dicken’s previous novel, Lioness of the Parch, serves as an essential precursor.

That story explores her origins and her fierce combat against the forces of Chaos, all while she navigates the treacherous landscape of Sigmarite politics, where allies and rivals alike struggle for dominance.
